LIAN is a guided storytelling experience that helps your loved one share their stories in their own voice, which are then transformed into a beautiful bilingual keepsake book.

Yes, LIAN is designed to feel simple and natural for older family members. There are no apps to download, no passwords or logins to remember.

They simply clink a link, open the recorder and begin speaking - just like chatting with family. They can share at their own pace, and speak about anything they wish.

After purchase, your gift recipient receives a warm welcome invitation, on the specified delivery date. Story prompts are then emailed over time, guiding them step-by-step. We handle the transcription, translation, and book design for you.

LIAN includes 25 guided prompts, delivered one at a time by email (typically once a week).

The pace is flexible and adjustable - your loved one can go faster, slower and respond whenever they feel ready.

The storytelling experience is designed to unfold over several months, allowing time to build a meaningful collection of stories. Many families complete it within 6 months.

It remains active for up to 12 months from the start date, giving your loved one time to share at a comfortable pace. Timing may vary depending on participation.

Currently, stories can be shared in Mandarin and translated into English.

You can also specify Simplified or Traditional Chinese script when completing your purchase details.

LIAN handles the transcription/translation and editing/formatting to create a seamless bilingual book.

LIAN includes one hardcover book of up to 150 pages. The final length depends on the number and depth of stories shared, as well as any photos included.

If the book exceeds 150 pages, additional page charges may apply. We’ll always confirm any additional costs with you before printing. Each audio recording can be up to 30 minutes long.

The proof stage is for minor corrections only, such as names, dates, typos, or small factual fixes.

It does not include major rewrites, new story submissions, or full redesigns.

You’ll receive a beautifully designed hardcover book (6x9 matte cover) featuring your loved one’s stories and photos, thoughtfully edited and formatted for readability and flow.
